- Watch for countries with multiple capital-like cities — the quiz always uses the official capital, not the biggest or most famous one. Tanzania's is Dodoma, not Dar es Salaam; Nigeria's is Abuja, not Lagos; South Africa's is Pretoria, not Cape Town or Johannesburg.
- Use process of elimination on the answer choices — ruling out obviously wrong cities narrows your odds even on unfamiliar countries.
- Pay attention to regional naming patterns — capitals in the same region often share linguistic roots with their country name.
- Don't overthink well-known capitals; the quiz mixes familiar and lesser-known countries, so trust your first instinct on the easy ones.
- Wrong-answer options are drawn from the full 60-country pool, not just nearby countries — so a distractor next to an African capital might be a South American or Southeast Asian one. Once you know the roster, an answer that's obviously from the wrong part of the world is usually the tell.
- Europe (20 countries) and Asia (18) together make up almost two-thirds of the 60-country pool, so brushing up on those two regions covers your best odds on any given day — Oceania's 3 entries (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji) show up far less often by comparison.

- How many questions are there?
- Eight questions each day, each with four possible capital cities to choose from.
- Is the quiz the same for everyone?
- Yes. A daily seed picks the same eight countries and answer choices for every player, refreshed at midnight UTC.
- How many do I need to get right to win?
- Six or more correct out of eight counts as a win for the day.
- Does my progress save if I close the tab?
- Yes, your progress through the quiz and your final result are saved locally in your browser.
- Can I replay today's quiz?
- Today's official 8-country quiz stays locked in once you finish it — that result is what counts toward your streak. But a "Play Again" button appears on the results screen for a fresh, randomly-drawn 8-country round you can play as many times as you want; those extra rounds don't touch today's saved result or your stats.
- Is there a time limit per question?
- No time limit on deciding — take as long as you need. Once you pick an answer, you'll see correct/incorrect feedback for about a second and a half before it auto-advances; tap "Next" instead if you don't want to wait.
- Can I choose a specific region, like Europe or Africa, to practice?
- Not yet — there's no region filter. I draw the daily eight from a pool of 60 countries worldwide, and Europe and Africa are both well represented in it: 20 of the 60 are European capitals and 9 are African, so you'll run into them regularly even without a dedicated mode.
- Are Spanish-speaking countries included?
- Yes — 8 of the 60 countries in the pool are Spanish-speaking: Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Cuba, and Venezuela. They're mixed into the same daily rotation as everywhere else; there's no dedicated Spanish-speaking-only mode.
- Is this a countries-and-capitals quiz, or just world capitals?
- Both — each question pairs a country with its capital city, so you're tested on the country-to-capital match, not just naming capitals in isolation.
- How many Asian countries are in the pool — could I get an all-Asia day?
- 18 of the 60 countries are Asian — China, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, Israel, Iran, and Kazakhstan — the single largest region in the pool. Since only 8 of the 60 get drawn each day, a mostly-Asian eight is possible but not something the game curates toward; it's just where the odds land occasionally.
- What's the smallest region represented in the quiz?
- Oceania, with just 3 entries: Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. Against 20 European and 18 Asian countries, Oceania shows up far less often in any given day's eight — not filtered out, just a smaller slice of the 60-country pool to begin with.
- Could one of today's 8 correct capitals also show up as a wrong-answer choice on a different question?
- Yes, and it actually happens. The three wrong answers for any question are drawn from the full 60-country pool minus only that question's own country — not from the countries left over after the day's other seven are picked. So a capital you answer correctly on question 2 can still turn up as a distractor option on question 6 the same day; nothing removes it from later rounds' answer choices.
